Type A Events was founded in 2009 by a group of veteran event professionals who had worked together in various capacities for nearly a decade. They had cut their teeth on industry-leading user-conferences and special events but were ready for a new challenge. Together, they would start a new type of event management company that focused less on the tactical and logistical side of live events and more on the strategy and experience behind them.
What started with seven people crammed into an office the size of a small bedroom and a COO literally operating out of a closet, quickly grew into an award-winning, best-in-class agency, complete with a new 30,000 sq ft facility. We see this growth as both confirmation of purpose as well as a testament to the power of live events.

Our Name
What's in a name?
In the 1950's a behavioral theory was developed that categorized people into Type A and Type B personality types. The theory describes Type A individuals as outgoing, ambitious, organized, impatient, anxious, proactive, and concerned with time management. We chose the name Type A Events because we feel that these are the exact traits that you'd want in an event manager.
